Operator Independent Truck Dispatch
Operator Independent Truck dispatch system also referred to as OITDS is extensively used in mining operations to assign the dumpers to shovels on a real-time basis. It uses GPS data to calculate congestion at each of the shovels and based on the information it calculates the most optimal shovel at which the dumper should go to spend minimum time in loading.
We calculate trips automatically - both OB and ore using our patented proprietary algorithm. At any point where the vehicle is stopped beyond a threshold duration we look at the direction incoming into the stoppage point and direction outgoing and use certain vehicle diagnostics such as hydraulic sensors to estimate loading and unloading points. Once loading point time and unloading point time is obtained, we calculate the distance by looking at estimates of distance travelled between each gps points.
